PiKU? (Pronounced peecoo) You never heard of it? What's that? How is this jump/break tip any different? Why should I use one? Is it as good as early reviews have said it is? All legit questions so let us give you the rundown of what PiKU is all about.
Through the years we have all heard players and shooters complain about the break tips available on the market. On one hand you have phenolic, which hits good but not without the caveat of not holding chalk. That has led to more than one mishap at the table. Not to mention it is hard on the cue ball. And that 'tink' sound that’s like on a chalk board. At the other end of the spectrum you have leather break tips. Holds chalk well but does not have the power of a synthetic. So why can't you have it both ways? Power and control without hassle? Well now you can. PiKU is the reason why.
Many years and many failures went into the development of the PiKU jump/break tip. It was not easily done and we're going to go out on a limb and say that's probably the reason why it's never been done before now. IT’S HARD TO DO!! PiKU is the tip of all jump/break tips and is destined to be legendary. So how does it work? Let us explain.
Hyper-Reactive Thermal Technology. Newton’s third law of physics states that "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction". We see this every time we strike a cue ball. The force applied to the cue ball by the cue has an equal reaction in the direction of travel. Hit the ball at 5 mph the cue ball will react by traveling at 5 mph. So the harder they hit the greater the reactions correct? PiKU was developed to give a boost to that reaction. When striking the cue ball on the snap, the chemical structure of the PiKU material has an instant and sudden hyper reaction. Meaning it aids in propelling the cue ball faster by pushing against the cue ball in a manner that is harder than the impact itself. That's why it is called "hyper-reactive". You can apply less force and get a bigger reaction which is great for accuracy. About accuracy:
So what good is all that hyper stuff without control right? We thought so also. Well that is the icing on the cake isn't it? This jump/break tip is more than just brawn, it’s "liquid leather". That's right. Liquid leather. What would PiKU be if it wasn't able to be scuffed, perforated, sanded, and chalked? It would be just another synthetic tip correct? But you can do all of that with the PiKU tip. Oh did we mention its ability to jump with ease? Need to put spin on your jump or big air? No problem.
So why try PiKU? Why not? You've no doubt tried everything else. You may have reached a compromise with what you are using now but with PiKU there are no compromises. You don't have to sacrifice anything. Whether you are just starting out or are a seasoned pro, you will love the performance and longevity of the PiKU jump/break tip. And we will love having you on our team.
